How To Run AC Using Solar Power

By hvrsolar | Uncategorized

Air Conditioners have become one of the most commonly used electric appliances today. With the deteriorating weather conditions, more and more people can be seen getting ACs installed at their homes, offices, shops, schools and different other establishments. However, AC is a high power consuming appliance and this leads to more power consumption. Hence, the comfort of using ACs becomes quite painful when electricity bill arrives.

What’s interesting is that people are looking out for options to reduce power consumption and electricity bills while continuing to use ACs. One of the most efficient ways to achieve both the goals at the same time is by getting solar systems installed and using solar energy to run ACs.

With increasing power tariffs, power problems and decreasing solar panel prices, people are getting inclined towards getting solar panels installed by solar energy suppliers. Solar panels installed by trustworthy solar manufacturers not only last long but also helps in solving electricity problems.

The important question here is, though we can run different home appliances using solar energy, can we use solar power to run AC?

The answer is YES.

We can use solar power to run AC. Let’s understand the process.

Normally, we use two types of solar panel systems– off-grid and on-grid.

The Off-grid solar system means using solar energy without depending on a grid. This system comprises of solar panels, inverters as well as batteries. On the other hand, On-grid solar system means using a grid for electricity generation to run appliances by using solar panels and inverter. To run ACs, one can opt for any of the two systems.

Using an On-grid solar system to run ACs requires high kVA inverters to handle high loads, while the Off-grid solar system will support the running of ACs even without electricity with the help of solar battery.

On-grid solar systems with between 3 kW to 10kW capacity are sufficient enough to run the ACs comfortably. Such systems are sufficient to run ACs in the large commercial office spaces as well as homes with several advantages. One can also avail of the benefits a credit on their electricity bills with net metering policies. These things make it clear that one can reduce their costs by running their ACs with the help of solar energy. Other advantages of installing On-grid solar systems by an authorized solar panel supplier includes a capital subsidy of up to INR 20,000 per kilowatt by the government, low maintenance, long-lasting service, no additional area required for installation, etc.

However, it’s very important to get the solar systems installed only by government authorized solar manufacturers. The authorized solar energy suppliers such as HVR Solar have a license from the government making them trustworthy in the industry. HVR Solar is authorized to provide their services across the nation. Currently, the company serves at almost all the prominent cities and towns in the country. Being one of the best solar manufacturers in the country, HVR Solar also manufactures several other solar products. You can check out the solar product range on our website – www.hvrsolar.com
